What should I do before you arrive?
If you notice moisture or water leaks, or if your home floods, you should do the following:
- Turn off the main water supply if possible.
- ELECTRICAL HAZARDS ! Plugs, Switches, Lite Fixture, Electrical appliances and supply cords.
- Remove items away from the affected area.
- Take precautions to protect the legs of your wooden furniture with sandwich or trash bags.
- Protect your long drapes and curtains by getting them off the floor.
As always, your safety should be the top priority. Wet surfaces, especially tile and vinyl, can be extremely slick so use caution. Also, avoid electricity while when standing on wet surfaces.
